7/8 Prineville, OR-Bend, OR 60 miles

Breakfast along the lake this morning. Oatmeal once again!!

Dustin and I road into the library to do out our blogging this morning, then he continued due west for the coast to finish his Transamerica trip. I was heading south to Bend where I had arranged a 2 night stay with a guy through Warmshowers and had also booked a full day whitewater trip down the Deschutes river on my day off in Bend. Really looking forward to that.

My host in Bend, John, also informed me that he works at the Deschutes Brewery so I was going to get hooked up with some of the best beers this country has to offer! CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU WHAT THAT MEANS TO ME RIGHT NOW!!

On the way down to Bend from Prineville along the Crooked River was just more outstanding scenery. What an impressive state Oregon is, yet, I imagined it would be.

The last 25 miles into Bend I was staring at the Three Sisters peaks of the Cascades.

So I have a good day and half to relax in Bend, then off to the Pacific we go with one last monstrous climb before downhill all the way to the beach.

Shauny boy,
From the looks of your shadow in your picture, it appears that you have gained back your weight and then some. And your head is noticeably smaller. What is happening?
